The first Takaful based insurance product that Zayan is bringing to the US market has been developed by Chartis Takaful Enaya, a member company of Chartis, Inc. This homeowner’s insurance product, structured on the Wakala concept of Takaful, has been approved by Chartis Takaful Enaya’s Shari’ah Supervisory Board. The Shari’ah Supervisory Board is comprised of world renowned experts in Islamic finance who serve in similar capacities for many of the world’s leading banks and financial institutions, such as: AAOIFI, ABN AMRO, Dow Jones, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Canada, HSBC Amanah, Lloyds TSB and United Bank of Switzerland (UBS).
